Rejoice A. Lange & Söhne aficionados! The Saxon brand has just revived the Richard Lange ‘Pour le Mérite’ in a limited edition of 218 watches. Each will boast a white-gold case, black dial and a black alligator strap. The watch was announced at the brand’s dealer conference in Dresden, though we have a suspicion that this watch was originally intended to be unveiled at the formerly annual Watches & Wonders (now biennial).
When Swatch unveiled its Sistem51 at BaselWorld 2013, the brand raised more than a few eyebrows because this was the first watch in the world to feature an entirely automated calibre production process. Swatch took the Sistem51 collection forward earlier this year, when it announced seven new Sistem51 ‘Irony’ references – that was back in July and they’re now finally on sale in the region.
