Titan unveils limited edition watch to celebrate UAE’s 44th National Day

Titan has been present in the U.A.E for over 20 years and, this year, is celebrating the country’s 44th National Day with a limited edition watch. The Titan Limited Edition UAE Watch is limited to 300 pieces, and was launched by HH Sheikh Nahyan Bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Culture, Youth and Community Development, and Bhaskar Bhat, Managing Director, Titan Company, Ltd., at an event in Dubai on November 24.

For a company producing over 15-million watches a year, a run of 300 watches is very limited.

The watch isn’t an all new model however but rather is a special edition of the Titan Edge, a watch which has won the Red Dot Award twice in a row, and which Titan says is the slimmest watch in the world. The design of the dial was inspired by the flag of the United Arab Emirates and, as you can see, the colors of the flag are prominent.

Of the watch Bhat says, “The Limited Edition UAE Watch represents the greatness of this nation and our excellence as a leading watchmaker. We dedicate this watch to our customers who have made us a success.”

The Titan Edge has been lauded for its ultra slim case and movement.

The quartz movement powering the watch measures a scant 1.15mm in height, while the watch itself weighs 23-grams and has a thickness of just 3.6mm. All 300 limited edition watches will carry a unique number and are presented in a plated rose gold case with a black leather strap. The watch has a water resistance of 30-metres, though with a leather strap, we recommend avoiding getting this timepiece wet for extended periods of time.

The Titan Limited Edition UAE watch carries a retail price of AED 795, and will be available at Titan’s stores, kiosks and multi-brand outlets across the UAE.
