H. Moser & Cie celebrates Leap Day 2016 with a Funky Blue Pre-Basel Reveal

The perpetual calendar complication plays a big part of H. Moser & Cie’s history. It therefore makes perfect sense that the independent brand has chosen Leap Day 2016 or #MoserDay (as the brand calls it) to unveil its latest QP, the limited edition Endeavour Perpetual Calendar Concept Funky Blue. Expect to see it, and more, at BaselWorld 2016.

There's just no other perpetual calendar on the market with a dial as spartan as this.

Introducing the Breitling Avenger Bandit

Breitling has just extended its Avenger collection with the launch of its Avenger Bandit. The independent Swiss brand says that its new timepiece embodies daring feats and extreme missions, the sort of things that are part of everyday life on an aircraft carrier.

The Avenger collection is one of Breitling's staples, and consists of sporty watches.

Hands-On: MB&F Legacy Machine 101 Platinum

When it was launched in 2014, the Legacy Machine 101 was the first MB&F timepiece to carry a movement that was designed by the brand itself. It had – and still has – the most classic looks of any MB&F timepiece, and was (and still is) the brand’s most accessible wristwatch. In January of this year, ahead of SIHH, the independent watchmaker released a new model, and we had the good fortune to spend some time with it recently.

The floating balance wheel is a hallmark of the Legacy Machine collection.

Review: Hermès Slim d’Hermès 39.5mm

At BaselWorld 2015 Hermès unveiled a brand new collection of watches under the banner of Slim d’Hermès. Both men and women were catered for but the really big news was the in-house, ultra-thin automatic movements packed into the 39.5mm models. Those watches immediately pegged our interest, so we were excited to receive the rose-gold Slim d’Hermès 39.5mm for review.

We've been waiting to see the Slim d'Hermès in person since we first saw it at BaselWorld 2015.
