Grieb & Benzinger creates two Middle East-inspired timepieces

Thanks to its expertise in traditional watchmaking techniques, and its highly personalised service, German watch manufactory Grieb & Benzinger is making quite a name for itself in the Middle East. The brand is notable for creating some incredibly rare and fascinating pieces, and has sent word that it has created two new timepieces – the Green Inspiration, and the Pharos Raspberry.

The green hand-guilloché work is stunning on the Green Inspiration.

The Green Inspiration is a bespoke watch that was commissioned to be a personal gift for the holy month of Ramadan. It has a platinum case that measures 43mm in diameter, and like some of the brand’s other pieces, you’ll find that the watch’s bezel is decorated with the familiar hand-guilloché workmanship. In terms of dial layout, this timepiece is identical to some of Grieb & Benzinger’s other bespoke watches, such as the Pharos Centurion Imperial and Pharos Al Arab Imperial. In this case however, the incredible hand-guilloché work is an attractive green color, in line with the watch’s name.

Beyond its eye-catching design, the dial is also logically laid out and easy-to-understand. The minute track sits on the circumference of the dial, and each five minute interval is marked with a green dot, while the Eastern Arabic numerals depicting the hours, sits on the inner most track. At the six o’clock position, you’ll find the seconds counter. The watch is presented on a black alligator strap with green stitching, and cost approximately US $74,000.

Despite the 43mm case size, this is unquestionably a feminine watch.

Designed for women that appreciate large mechanical watches, the Pharos Raspberry’s 43mm white-gold case is set with 77 brilliant cut diamonds (2.55ct) spread across its bezel and lugs. This lady’s timepiece offers the same style of dial layout (including the Eastern Arabic numerals) as the Green Inspiration but, as you can plainly see, the guilloché work is a more feminine raspberry color.

The watch is paired with a matching raspberry alligator strap, and carries a price of about US $55,300.
