Tag Heuer is giving fans of military/camouflage style something to think about this year at BaselWorld, with the launch of the Aquaracer Camouflage 300M Calibre 5. Two references have been unveiled, one with an arctic dial and the other with a jungle dial.
The arctic dial (camo print) ref. WAY208D.FC8221 and jungle dial (khaki print) ref. WAY208E.FC8222 feature 43mm sand-blasted Grade 2 titanium cases, which are covered with black PVD. Grade 2 titanium is light and resistant to corrosion however it is not as strong as the more expensive Grade 5 titanium, which is generally found on more expensive watches.
Both references sport a uni-directional rotating bezel and there’s sapphire crystal with an anti-reflective coating protecting those oh-so-interesting dials. Rounding up the watches are the straps; the camo and khaki references are paired to matching straps – blue camouflage NATO and khaki fabric respectively.
The watches are expected to go on sale in the region later in the year, and are expected to retail for approximately US $2,800.
