Introducing the Octopod, a new eight-legged desk clock from MB&F and L’Epée 1839

The last time the creative geniuses at MB&F released an eight-legged desk clock, they sent horology lovers with a fear of arachnids running for the nearest can of bug spray. Those same folks can rest easy this time around however, as the Octopod is inspired by aquatic life, and can’t be mounted menacingly on walls and ceilings ;).

Girard-Perregaux introduces 40mm Tourbillon with Three Gold Bridges

Fact: In 1867, Girard-Perregaux’s (GP) Tourbillon with Three Bridges won its first chronometry award from the Neuchâtel Observatory. Development on these watches began a few years prior, in the mid-1850s, and since then, they’ve become an iconic signature piece of the brand. Now, in honor of the watch’s 150th anniversary, the brand has released a new 40mm version of its Tourbillon with Three Gold Bridges.

Review: S.U.F Helsinki Vetehinen, A killer divewatch from an independent brand

S.U.F Helsinki is a small, independent watch brand that produces approximately 100 timepieces each year. S.U.F actually stands for ‘Sarpaneva Uhren Fabrik’, and if you know your independent watch brands and/or watchmakers, that first word should immediately grab your attention. Georges Kern resigns from Richemont

As per a statement issued by luxury conglomerate Richemont, Georges Kern has resigned as head of watchmaking, marketing and digital. The surprising change takes effect immediately, and comes just several weeks after Kern assumed his new position. Kern was previously CEO of IWC for several years.
