‘Handwerkskunst’ is the German word for artisanship, and A. Lange & Söhne first introduced watches with this distinction back in 2011. Handwerkskunst watches have dials and movements that are finished with rare and complicated engraving techniques, and are some of the Saxon watchmaker’s most desirable timepieces.

A. Lange & Söhne introduces the 1815 Tourbillon Handwerkskunst

With the sun rapidly setting on 2015, A. Lange & Söhne has revealed its final commemorative piece to bring the year that marks the 200th birthday of Ferdinand Adolph Lange to a spectacular close. The 1815 Tourbillon Handwerkskunst features an extraordinary dial, and combines two precision focused mechanisms.

A. Lange & Söhne introduces boutique special 1815 Chronograph

The third edition of Watches & Wonders (W&W) takes place from September 30 to October 3 in Hong Kong. Since the exhibition is now just around the corner, some of the participating brands have begun showing off their latest creations – we recently saw an example of truly stunning horology in the form of Vacheron Constantin’s Cornes de vache 1955 (read our story here). Now, A. Lange & Söhne has joined the W&W run-up party by introducing a new, boutique-only, reference of its highly desirable 1815 Chronograph.
