Pre-Basel: Tag Heuer announces 43mm Carrera Heuer-01

Tag Heuer announced its original 45mm Carrera Heuer-01 sports chronograph at Baselworld 2015, it was the first watch the brand released under the watchful eye of Jean-Claude Biver (our story here). Two years on Tag Heuer has announced a new Carrera Heuer-01, this time with a smaller 43mm case.

We reckon Tag Heuer has widened the Heuer-01’s appeal with this new case size.

Tag Heuer introduces two Manchester United chronographs

Last year English football club Manchester United appointed Tag Heuer as its official timekeeper, so it comes as no surprise that the brand has now announced two new watches. Both are chronographs, and both feature the Premier League club’s logo on their dials and casebacks.

Introducing the Tag Heuer Carrera Mikrograph Anniversary Edition: 1916-2016

December 2014 was when Jean-Claude Biver stepped in as CEO of Tag Heuer, and since then the brand has focused on offering accessible timepieces that tug at heart strings. It has been a successful formula and now, with the introduction of the Carrera Mikrograph Anniversary Edition: 1916-2016, the brand is proving that it can do haute horology while keeping its focus on value.

The timepiece features a white lacquered dial, and looks like a vintage Heuer stopwatch.

It’s a Carrera the likes of which have never been produced before.
