H. Moser & Cie. and Christie’s to auction a unique watch each year in support of Swiss watchmaking

Maverick independent watchmaker H. Moser & Cie. and auction house Christie’s are partnering to support the Swiss watchmaking industry. Through the partnership H. Moser & Cie. will supply Christie’s with a unique watch for auction each year, with the proceeds going to the Fondation pour la Culture Horlogère Suisse (Foundation for Swiss Watchmaking Culture).

H. Moser & Cie. did not want to use a precious metal case for this piece unique, as the use of materials from overseas would make the watch less Swiss Made.

Christie’s announces new leadership structure

Auction house Christie’s has announced that it will be making changes to its governance structure, which will take effect from January 1, 2017. The 250-year old auction house has appointed Guillaume Cerutti to be its new CEO, based on the recommendation of current CEO Patricia Barbizet, and with the support of the Pinault family.
