Chopard introduces the L.U.C Perpetual Chrono

2016 is a big year for Chopard. This year the brand celebrates the 20th anniversary of it L.U.C collection, a family of watches that demonstrates exactly what this independent watchmaker can really do. In fact, the brand is making one heck of a statement ahead of BaselWorld 2016, with the launch of its L.U.C Perpetual Chrono.

The L.U.C Perpetual Chrono is a serious step forward for the brand and its already well respected L.U.C collection.

H. Moser & Cie celebrates Leap Day 2016 with a Funky Blue Pre-Basel Reveal

The perpetual calendar complication plays a big part of H. Moser & Cie’s history. It therefore makes perfect sense that the independent brand has chosen Leap Day 2016 or #MoserDay (as the brand calls it) to unveil its latest QP, the limited edition Endeavour Perpetual Calendar Concept Funky Blue. Expect to see it, and more, at BaselWorld 2016.

There's just no other perpetual calendar on the market with a dial as spartan as this.

H. Moser & Cie unveils vintage inspired perpetual calendar

SIHH 2016 is still a few hours away but independent watchmaker H. Moser & Cie (HMC) has already opened its horological-gates with three new timepieces. These aren’t all new watches, instead they are different references though one in particular, the Perpetual Calendar Heritage Limited Edition,  is so distinctive compared to its predecessors, it could be considered an all new watch.

H. Moser & Cie's latest perpetual calendar just exudes old world charm.

The A. Lange & Söhne Handwerkskunst watches

‘Handwerkskunst’ is the German word for artisanship, and A. Lange & Söhne first introduced watches with this distinction back in 2011. Handwerkskunst watches have dials and movements that are finished with rare and complicated engraving techniques, and are some of the Saxon watchmaker’s most desirable timepieces.

Ever since its rebirth, Lange has taken the watch world by storm. Pictured here is the brand's new manufactory.

Introducing the slim d’Hermès collection

We saw glimpses of them at BaselWorld 2015, and now the cat is officially out of the bag. Hermès has just unleashed its new slim d’Hermès collection in the region, consisting of watches that were created out of a desire to focus on essentials and aesthetic purity.

Graphic designer Philippe Apeloig came up with the hour marker font that you see on both watches. We think it suits the watch perfectly.
