Middle East ‘Watch of the Year’ 2016 Winners Announced

Following the conclusion of the third annual Salon des Grandes Complications, the 12th ‘Watch of the Year’ awards gala dinner was held on November 10, at the Ritz Carlton DIFC. 12 winners were selected by an independent group of regional watch collectors and connoisseurs, including H.E. Sheikh Mohamed Bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, Mishal Kanoo, Yousef Al Nowais and Roberta Naas.

Salon des Grandes Complications 2016 participants announced

The 2016 edition of the Salon des Grandes Complications exhibition will take place from November 7 to November 10, and will feature no less than 19 brands. This is year three for the Salon, which will once again be held at Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC).

Second edition of Salon des Grandes Complications opens

Earlier today, H.E. Essa Kazim, Governor of the Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC) and Mr. Adrian Bless, Deputy Head of Mission, Embassy of Switzerland in the UAE opened the 2015 edition of the Salon des Grandes Complication (SDGC). The fine watchmaking exhibition is open to all from November 16 to 19, and is located at the entrance of DIFC building 5.

The exhibition was formally opened after a press conference.

Hot on the heels of the first Salon des Grandes Complications, the annual Middle East ‘Watch of the Year’ awards took place at the Ritz-Carlton, DIFC on Thursday, November 27. Brands were honored for their contributions to watchmaking across 11 categories.

Inaugural Salon des Grandes Complications opens in Dubai

The Atrium at the Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC) will play host to a number of watchmaking brands, collectors and enthusiasts, as the first edition of the Salon des Grandes Complication (SDGC) is now open for business. The fine watchmaking exhibition will run for three days, leading in to the annual Middle East ‘Watch of the Year’ gala on Thursday, November 27.
