MB&F has a Space Pirate in its midst

Shiver me timbers! MB&F has just reinforced its position as one of the preeminent independent brands when it comes to mechanical art, and it’s all thanks to its new Horological Machine 6 (HM6) Space Pirate. It’s unlike anything that we (and we’re sure the watch world at large) has ever seen before, it’s well finished, and brilliantly executed by the brand that laughs in the face of normalcy.

It took us a while to believe it but, yes, it's a wristwatch and it tells the time.

When diamonds meet Omega’s De Ville Central Tourbillon

There are limited edition watches and then there are ‘limited edition’ watches. Omega, as a brand, offers both with their limited edition Speedmaster, Seamaster, Constellation and De Ville watches. The watch we’re discussing here, the De Ville Central Tourbillon (reference: 513.98.39.21.56.001), falls into the latter category as a boutique exclusive. Only three will ever exist.

Only three of these watches exist and each carries 10 carats worth of diamonds.

Meet the Lange 1 Tourbillon Handwerkskunst

On October 24 of this year the iconic Lange 1 turned 20 (read our original story here). In advance of this milestone A. Lange & Söhne presented five unique Lange 1 ’20th Anniversary’ sets in a variety of case/dial variants, which consist of a 38.5mm Lange 1 and a 36.1mm Little Lange 1 (read about these watches by clicking here). But A. Lange & Söhne wasn’t quite finished with its tribute to the Lange 1 – the Saxon watchmaking company has now unveiled a new, limited edition Lange 1, and it is known as the ‘Lange 1 Tourbillon Handwerkskunst’.

A. Lange & Söhne has released the Lange 1 Tourbillon Handwerkskunst to pay tribute to the 20-year old Lange 1.
