The uncommon rarity of Grieb & Benzinger watches

There are rare watches, and then there are RARE watches. Grieb & Benzinger specialises in the latter, the German company sees mechanical watchmaking as an art form, and sources historical or rare watch movements, passing them on to its artisans for refurbishment and serious decoration, before putting them into precious metal cases for the lucky owners.

Introducing the Speake-Marin Dong Son Tourbillon

The ancient Dong Son people of Vietnam and more specifically, their bronze drums, served as the inspiration for Speake-Marin’s newest unique piece, the Dong Son Tourbillon. The Dong Son drums were bronze drums created by Dong Son culture that existed around the Red River Delta of northern Vietnam between 600BC and 300AD. The drums were said to represent an artistic level that very few cultures of the time could match, and the independent watchmaker is paying tribute to this ancient culture with a unique creation of its own.

The Dong Son Tourbillon features a 38mm Piccadilly red gold case and is presented on an alligator strap with a red gold pin buckle.
