Vacheron Constantin adds brown dials to new Overseas collection

Despite the fact that the third generation Overseas collection hasn’t actually hit retail channels as yet, Vacheron Constantin has just announced a new dial color option – brown. This dial color will be offered on the world time, chronograph, date and small model (ladies) Overseas references.

Vacheron Constantin launches new Overseas Chronograph with in-house calibre

We knew it was coming, and at SIHH 2016 it finally arrived. Vacheron Constantin (VC) has refreshed its Overseas Chronograph by adding fresh looks and, more importantly, an in-house movement. The previous calibre 1137 movement has been relegated to the history books, and in its place sits the new calibre 5200.

We've always thought that the blue dial Overseas Chronograph is the one to have.

Vacheron Constantin opens new boutique in The Dubai Mall

With 260-years of uninterrupted history under its belt, Vacheron Constantin is the world’s oldest watch brand. Sure, there are brands that were founded earlier than Vacheron but none have remained in continuous operation for as long as the Geneva-based Maison.

To those passionate about fine watchmaking, Vacheron Constantin, Audemars Piguet and Patek Philippe are known as the ‘holy trinity’, and on the 16th of July 2015, Vacheron joined its counterparts in The Dubai Mall with its very own boutique.

The Top 5 Watches of SIHH 2015 (Part 1)

Each year the Salon International De La Haute Horologerie (SIHH for short) takes place in Geneva, and gives those lucky enough to be invited a preview of watches to come during the year (and beyond). This year the exhibition ran from January 19 to 23 and celebrated ’25 years of magic’.

The first show took place back in 1992 and featured a mere five brands. The show was born out of a desire for brands to be able to show their forthcoming products ahead of BaselWorld, which is the original Swiss watchmaking exhibition. SIHH is primarily organised by The Richemont Group, though the group does also work with several independent brands.
